Setting Your Shear in Your Sharpening Clamp

STEP 1: SETTING CUTTING ANGLE

To start, loosen the small black knob on the side of the clamp and move the clamp’s upright to the desired angle. The angle is determined by the break line (space) between the upper and lower sections of the clamp. (NOTE: Sharpen all scissors with the same angle setting before resetting the angle to save time. Small variations in angles won’t noticeably affect cutting.)

STEP 2: INSTALLING CLAMP

Place the scissors clamp in the hole in the top arm. The word SHARPEN must be on top.

STEP 3: CLAMPING SCISSORS

Place your scissors in clamp. Be sure that the inside of the blade is facing you. Tighten the large black knob until your scissors are held firmly in place. Small scissors may be clamped on the handle or in the pivot.
